Hola a todos!

How are you all?

Well, this week was absolutely insane. On Monday, we went to Alcorcon which is in our district! We had to ask our district leader for permission to leave our area, (and we wanted to go there to go to IKEA) and they said "you can only go if we're invited". Great! Our district is just 4 people, Hermana Kay and I and them, and they're both a little bit awkward but we said ok. The day was a disaster. We didn't even meet them or go to IKEA because we couldn't get there (it was across a freeway from where we were) and the bus didn't take our cards or cash. But it's ok! Kind of a wasted pday, but we're also kind of used to that after so many pdays in quarantine!

On Tuesday we had zone conference and heard messages from our mission presidency! It was so good as usual, and I'm always impressed by how inspired our leaders are. They also announced that the Spanish government accepted their proposal, and they got permission to do baptisms IN THE CAPILLAS AGAIN!!! We don't have to ask to use someone's pool!! I'm so excited! And also we have a baptism on July 4th!!! Our friend's name is William and he's such a strong person. His wife passed away from cancer a few weeks ago which has been so hard, but he said he wants to follow the Savior's example and be baptized. I know his faith will bring him so many blessings!

On Wednesday we went to Parla again and slept over at the Sister Training Leader's piso for exchanges! Now (since we've had transfers) they're a trio with two natives, and it's such a fun group!
Friday we went to Pavones for interviews with President!! That's where the Madrid temple and mission offices are. We also went the same day as our zone so we got to meet them in person for the first time!!!!! It was so so so much fun, I had no idea it would be so great. Some of them said "is that you Hermana Carlson? You're actually real! No one's ever seen you in person before!"

In my interview with president Bussey, he gave me this sage advice: 'Boys are like buses. When you miss one, another one comes along.' It made me laugh and I think I'll definitely remember it!

On Saturday we had the longest cita of my life! We planned for an hour, but we left the piso at 2.30 and came back at 6.30! We had no idea what we were getting into. Walking to and from the park honestly took up more than half of the time we were gone. But it was so fun! We went to a park called "parque de patos" (duck park) and they brought a picnic! It was with our amigo Álvaro and his son and daughter and granddaughter! They are so sweet and told us throughout the cita that we were "among family".

I can't remember what else happened but I love you all! I hope you have an amazing week and remember to look for Heavenly Father's hand in your life every day! I promise that as you do, you'll see miracles and you'll feel His awareness and love for you individually 💕

Un abrazo muy fuerte!!!
